About the Teleseminar
As I watched a story on television about miracle babies being born during hurricane Sandy I was reminded that out of tragedy God births miracles. Whether it’s nurses keeping newborn babies alive, firefighters and policeman rescuing people from burning homes and flooded streets or neighbors simply helping neighbors, we often see the best of the human spirit during the worst of times.
I read that the most frequent posts on social media the last few days were “Are you okay?” “What do you need?” and “How can I help?”
I’ve heard stories of families talking again, people knocking on their neighbor’s doors for the first time in years to see if they are alright and countless volunteers distributing food and clothing to those in need.
Unfortunately, bad things happen to good people. But good people with great optimism, resilience and faith ultimately turn the bad into good.
Heroes don’t just save people from burning buildings. They give food to the hungry and blankets to the cold. They are ordinary people like my brother who went over to his neighbor’s house to help pump six feet of water out of his basement. They are marathon runners who instead of running a race, raced to help hurricane victims in Staten Island. They are the churches, shelters and volunteer organizations that make the relief efforts possible.
And they are people like you, who may live hundreds or thousands of miles away from NYC, the Jersey Shore and Long Island, yet become a hero by giving to those in need.
In this spirit I hope you will join us for a Tele-seminar Fundraiser for Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts.
The Staying Positive Through Challenges teleseminar is free to all who want to listen but my hope is that when you will decide to make a minimum donation of $10 or more to a charity of your choice that is helping victims of Hurricane Sandy.
Consider it an investment in your own personal growth and an investment in the hurricane relief efforts.
I hope you’ll join me and let’s make a positive difference together.
